Recently, Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, in accordance with the requirements of the 'Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products' and the 'Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products'.

Recall Scope:
Recall Number S2026M0045V: Starting from May 16, 2026, recall some 2023-2024 model year domestic Polestar 4 pure electric vehicles equipped with 86kWh power batteries, produced between November 16, 2023, and May 24, 2024, totaling 1,473 units.
Recall Reason:
For some vehicles within the recall scope, due to inconsistencies in the manufacturing of high-voltage power battery components, long-term use may lead to abnormal increases in internal resistance of the power battery. This could result in reduced performance of some power batteries and, in extreme cases, may cause thermal runaway of the power battery, posing a safety risk.
Solution:
Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. will authorize Polestar Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. to handle the specific recall implementation. The recall measure involves free replacement of all power battery modules for vehicles within the recall scope to eliminate safety hazards. Polestar recommends that customers do not charge the high-voltage battery above 70% before replacing the power battery modules to reduce the risk of thermal runaway.
Emergency Response Measures:
For potential safety hazards, the cloud warning platform will provide early warnings and contact users via customer service to arrange proactive rescue services; when a vehicle malfunctions, the power battery fault light will illuminate and an alarm sound will alert the user, who should immediately pull over, call the Polestar service hotline, and wait for rescue.
Polestar Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will notify relevant customers of this recall matter via registered mail and other methods. After the recall begins, the Polestar Customer Support Center will proactively contact affected owners to arrange recall procedures. Users can consult by calling the Polestar customer support hotline via mobile or landline. Additionally, more information can be found by visiting the recall center website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and defect clues can be reported.
