smart has confirmed the global premiere of two new vehicles: the smart #6 EHD plug-in hybrid and the smart #2 concept car. The official unveiling is scheduled for April 22.

The smart #2 concept is based on a new ECA architecture and features a two-door, two-seat layout. It represents an evolution of the classic smart fortwo, retaining its compact footprint with four wheels at the corners and rear-wheel-drive layout, but with completely new exterior and interior designs. Initially, a hardtop coupe version will be offered, with a convertible variant potentially following. The concept is expected to utilize a battery pack with a capacity of around 30 kWh.
