Leapmotor has officially announced a new round of OTA updates for multiple models in its C-Series lineup. This update covers the 2024 C16, C11, C10, C01, as well as the 2026 C16 Premium Edition and C10 Comfort Edition. The OTA content not only adds core features like 360-degree wheel view assist and City Navigation Assist but also optimizes experiences in intelligent driving, parking, voice interaction, and vehicle control, further enhancing the vehicles' practicality and intelligent capabilities.
Regarding new features, this OTA update adds a wheel view assist function to the 360-degree application. When enabled, it allows viewing from a wheel hub perspective in the regular view, effectively reducing blind spots during low-speed driving and improving safety. The entertainment ecosystem has also been enriched, with the infotainment system adding three new audio apps: Kuwo Music Lite, Lazy Audio (Lanren Tingshu), and Fan Shu. The CCTV Video app has also been added, providing diverse content coverage including music, audiobooks, knowledge lectures, and live sports events. The voice interaction experience has been comprehensively upgraded with a new concise announcement mode, allowing users to switch the voice assistant's announcement style. It now supports announcing the contact name or phone number for incoming calls and provides startup greetings based on the time of entry. It also achieves "visible and speakable" voice control, where content displayed on the central control screen can be directly operated via voice commands without needing to remember fixed phrases.
A new Leapmotor Smart Tag binding control function has been added for smart devices. A single click can turn the air conditioning on/off, and rotating it can adjust the temperature, enabling convenient vehicle control. The intelligent driving functions have received a significant update. Models equipped with lidar now feature the new City Navigation Assist function. This function is initially available in five cities: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Jinhua, Suzhou, and Jiaxing, with plans to gradually expand to other cities. It can control the vehicle to follow the navigation route to the destination, significantly enhancing convenience for urban travel.
This OTA update also includes optimizations and upgrades for several existing functions. For intelligent driving, the Commute Navigation Assist for lidar-equipped models has been optimized, improving system passability in complex scenarios and the safety of target response. For parking assistance, except for the 2024 and 2026 C10 Comfort Edition and the 2024 C01 Comfort Edition, other models now have an added option to choose left or right direction when exiting a vertical parking space. When exiting horizontal or vertical parking spaces, the vehicle can now be completely pulled out and straightened, resulting in a better parking experience. Voice control optimizations are significant, not only generalizing the phrasing for voice-controlled vehicle functions but also improving the voice large model and continuous dialogue function, increasing the success rate of command execution. A pop-up confirmation has been added during voice user feedback. Music-related voice control has been further enriched, supporting voice-ordered official playlists for NetEase Cloud Music and QQ Music, as well as voice control for newly added apps like Kuwo Music Lite and Lazy Audio.
Navigation functionality now includes the ability to delete individual search/navigation records, making usage more flexible. Details of the infotainment system and vehicle control have also been refined. The infotainment interface has optimized font display with an overall increase in font size for clearer visuals. Bluetooth key functionality has been optimized to improve the success rate of unlocking/locking via the door handle button. Except for the 2024 C11/C01, other models have a new air conditioning operation logic: manually adjusting the air vent direction in the "Avoid Blowing on Occupant" mode will switch to a free airflow mode, making control more convenient. Charging-related functions have been optimized. The logic for the slow charging electronic lock has been upgraded to improve charging safety. The safety current limit now applies only to portable charging cables and no longer restricts home slow charging stations, resulting in a more user-friendly charging experience. Additionally, 2024 C16 models equipped with a rear screen have completed the adaptation of the Himalaya app for the rear entertainment screen, upgrading the rear-seat entertainment experience.
