Jetour has announced that the new 'Steed Edition' variants of its T2 (Traveller) and T1 (Freer) SUVs will officially launch on March 11. These models expand the brand's lineup of rugged, 'boxy' styled vehicles.




The Jetour T2 is positioned as a compact SUV. The current 2026 model year lineup consists of 9 variants, with prices ranging from approximately 139,900 to 191,900 yuan. The T1 currently has 10 variants in its lineup, priced from approximately 124,900 to 154,900 yuan.
Official video previews show the T2 Steed Edition features a fully blacked-out exterior treatment and is equipped with red brake calipers.
Powertrain Details
Jetour T2 (Traveller): The model offers two turbocharged four-cylinder engine options:
- 1.5T Engine: Produces 135 kW (181 hp) and 290 Nm of torque.
- 2.0T Engine: Produces 187 kW (251 hp) and 390 Nm of torque.
Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission for most models, while the top XWD Conquest variant uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive models are equipped with an XWD fully automatic intelligent 4WD system. This system combines BorgWarner's sixth-generation intelligent torque manager with an intelligent limited-slip differential lock.


Jetour T1 (Freer): The T1 offers two Kunpeng power options:
- 1.5T Engine: 135 kW and 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT.
- 2.0T Engine: 187 kW and 390 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The T1 will also offer a four-wheel-drive variant. Its 4WD system utilizes BorgWarner's sixth-generation technology and features a "7+X" drive mode selection. The special 'X' mode is designed for intelligent road condition recognition and automatic torque distribution.
