Exterior: Continues Family Styling, Smaller Dimensions than Sagitar L
In terms of exterior design, the all-new Sagitar S continues the Sagitar family's design language, featuring smooth and clean lines. The front end adopts a full-width daytime running light strip paired with a self-illuminating Volkswagen logo. The blackened headlights house LED projector units. The front bumper features a central air intake grille with air curtain designs on both sides.
Regarding dimensions, the all-new Sagitar S measures 4702mm in length, 1815mm in width, and 1484mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2688mm, making it smaller than the Sagitar L. The new car adopts a standard three-box sedan design with a fastback style. The rear quarter windows have been removed, and it retains traditional-style door handles, paired with 17-inch blade-style alloy wheels.
The rear of the vehicle also continues the full-width taillight design, with an X-shaped lighting signature on both sides. The taillights feature a dedicated SAGITAR S badge. The rear bumper is complemented by currently popular black decorative trim and a full-width reflector strip, giving the overall appearance a more sporty feel. A small ducktail spoiler is also integrated into the trunk lid design.
Interior: New Minimalist Style, Smart Interaction Onboard
For the interior, the new car adopts a more homely minimalist design style with a two-tone color scheme and offers 30-color ambient lighting. The cabin features extensive use of soft-touch materials and a full-width air conditioning vent design.
The new car uses the same three-spoke steering wheel as the Sagitar L, with physical buttons, and adopts a column-mounted gear shifter (stalk). A 12.9-inch floating central touchscreen is paired with a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, supporting AR navigation. It is powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip, paired with an iFlytek voice interaction system and an integrated AI large model matrix combining DeepSeek, Doubao, and in-house developed models. This enables multi-turn conversations, accurate understanding of multiple intents, supports multiple dialect recognition, and nearly 800 functions. Furthermore, the all-new Sagitar S also supports CarPlay, CarLife, and Huawei HiCar connectivity.
The new car also provides ergonomic seats, with power adjustment for the driver's seat and front seat heating. The rear offers air conditioning vents and charging ports.
Powertrain: Two Engine Options Available
In terms of powertrain, the all-new Sagitar S offers two options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, producing a maximum power of 110 horsepower (81 kW). The other is a 1.5T EVO2 engine paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. Utilizing technologies like the Miller cycle and APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spraying), it produces a maximum power of 160 horsepower (118 kW).
